Pittsburgh White and Gold Wedding at The Pennsylvanian
Carlie and Mike’s beautiful white and gold wedding at The Pennsylvanian was a perfect and elegant event. The neutral color palette along with hints of yellow and rose gold and a splash of navy added a simple and classic touch. Carlie got ready at her parent’s home before heading to St. Bede’s Church for the ceremony. We then stopped for portraits at one of my favorite locations in the city, and where we did their engagement photos, The Walled Garden at Mellon Park. We could not have asked for a more beautiful, although chilly, day! You would not have guessed how cold it was because everyone, including the bridal party, rocked their portraits! We then headed to their luxurious white and gold wedding at The Pennsylvanian, where the reception set up was complete with a custom bar adorned with photos from their engagement session!
Carlie and Mike met in graduate school and quickly became friends. Studying, hanging out, and doing almost everything together. They did not go out on their first date until after they both graduated, but you can say the rest was history! Mike proposed to Carlie on Memorial Day weekend while they were in New York visiting family. Mike took Carlie to the same restaurant they celebrated their graduation and got down on one knee by the Hudson River and asked her to marry him. They then celebrated the rest of the evening with their family who traveled into the city for the engagement!!
Working with Carlie and Mike was an absolute dream, from their engagement session, through their wedding, and now creating an heirloom album for their family to enjoy for generations to come – it’s truly special! I love to build relationships with my clients and invest in them as much as they invest in me, which makes the entire process from start to finish so much more unique, meaningful, and of course fun!!
