Words cannot describe Yoni and Talia’s amazing Calhoun Beach Club Wedding! I was honored that they asked me to join them in Minneapolis to photograph their beautiful wedding! Thanks to their fabulous wedding planner Ramie, the amazing venue, and the fantastic weather, everything was perfect! It was 20 degrees cooler the day before so we were lucky that the sun came allowing us to venture down to Lake Calhoun for their portraits at sunset.
The Calhoun Beach Club is a beautiful venue with floor to ceiling windows and tons of natural light that poured into the ballroom. Every detail that day was so thoughtful and perfect, really representing the couple and their love. Talia (the bride) made the save the dates and invitations as well as the table decor (she is an amazing artist). The bouquet, which was insanely beautiful, was put together by the bride’s best friend using local flowers in the area.
This was the first Orthodox Jewish Wedding I photographed, even though I have been lucky enough to attend plenty as a guest. The entire ceremony was emotional and everyone was sobbing including me and my second photographer. Yoni had not seen Talia for the week before the wedding, so the first time he saw his beautiful bride was right before the ceremony during the Bedeken (the veiling).
The Bedeken ceremony was truly a remarkable experience, surrounded by all of their loved ones I can’t even image how they both felt seeing each other for the first time. I am crying now just typing this. The way Yoni was sneaking glances at Talia during the ceremony and reception, you could tell how much he truly adores her. I love capturing love, and telling a couples story as the day unfolds. Thank you so much Yoni and Talia for letting me create these memories for you both to cherish together forever!
