Outdoor Newborn Session Inside Mellon Parks English Garden

Being able to photograph this gorgeous outdoor newborn session inside Mellon Parks English Garden was the perfect way to welcome baby Sofie Monet into the world. This family holds a special place in our hearts, as Matt is a distant cousin of my husband Jesse, so being family and also amazing friends makes us feel so lucky to have these three in our lives! Jesse and Matt have also been going through the same MBA program at PITT together, so the two of them have become even closer over the years, and Anastasia is an absolute dream of a human, both inside and out! 

It has definitely been hard on everyone since COVID has overrun the States, as I was scheduled to photograph Sofia’s newborn session in their home a few weeks after she was born. Obviously this pandemic had other plans, so we had to push off her session until she was almost two months old, and we had to move this outdoor newborn session to Mellon Park for everyone’s safety. Well, that definitely turned out in our favor, because the light and backdrop of Mellon Parks English Garden was the perfect location for this gorgeous family session! Luckily, I was also able to photograph Anastasia’s maternity session right before everything shut down, so getting to work with these two on extremely special life events makes me so lucky that I am still able to work and capture these memories for my clients and dear friends.
